Hours are the real constraint

Outside holiday weekends, most kitchens wind down between 7:00pm and 8:30pm, and several close entirely on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Call the same day. Hours here move with the catch, the weather and the crowd — a listing that says 'open' is a starting point, not a promise.

If you're self-catering

Shop in the village early. Fresh fish is best bought straight off the boats in the morning; ground provisions and staples come from the market and grocery.

Bring a cooler. Distances are short but the heat is not forgiving, and not every rental has a full fridge.
