The concrete sea defence at Guaya, best at sunset and free to walk.

The sea wall runs along the shoreline at Guayaguayare, at the far south-east end of the Mayaro road, and functions as the village promenade: fishermen work the rocks, families walk it in the late afternoon, and the open water view is the reason most visitors stop. There are no facilities here, so combine it with a stop in Guaya village for food and fuel.
